WWJDA?
Pat Robertson is trying to make inroads with desperate Asian housewives.
The title of this post is a mockery of those once-popular "WWJD?" bracelets. Instead of asking "What would Jesus do?," I'm asking "Who would Jesus discriminate against?"
If right-wing reverend Pat Robertson (a man who claims to conversate regularly with the almighty) is any indication, then it would be Asian people.
In his latest assault on intelligence and taste, Robertson said that people who have received too much plastic surgery "got the eyes like they're Oriental". He made the statement on today's edition of The 700 Club. As he spoke, he put his fingers up to the side of his face (which you can see above).
I presume that you've already picked up on the bad taste part of Robertson's latest crackpot rambling, so I'll spare you that explanation here. For those of you still missing the bad intelligence part, it's this: a rug is Oriental; people are Asian. Once again, the nexus of bigotry and stupidity is painfully clear.
