Crap Comment Of The Day
"But I didn't find many outright Coulter errors."
Here's who said it:
John Cloud of Time magazine, the author of the current issue's glowing article on every conservative's (well, not the self-hating gay conservatives) masturbatory fantasy, Ann Coulter.
You can read the article it came from here. Even though Cloud manages to refute one mistake attributed to Coulter in the WorldNetDaily article just linked, consider this.

Self-hating gays? So you are saying a homosexual can not exercise his or her choice but must fall into a box that you make for them? Are you saying that for a homosexual to be self-actualized that they must follow the gospel according to Melder? Do you think a gay person lacks the ability to look outside himself or herself and be more than a single issue entity? Masturbatory fantasy? Methinks Freud would have a field day with your psyche my friend.
By the way...that's not the Gospel according to Melder. That's the Gospel according to the likes of Pat Robertson, Tony Perkins (of the FRC) and the rest of the religious zealots that today's Republican party (especially Bill Frist) is in bed with.
Yeah...the Log Cabin Republicans have members who are gay and conservative. I am not sure that they need you to define what being a conservative means. But please by all means do not let facts get in the way of your smug sense of self-satisfaction.
Facts? Please, Joe, present facts as to what being conservative in America does mean today, since you seem to object to my definition.
As for a smug sense of satisfaction, I am proud to say it gets stronger every time I see you post. I am resolute in my liberalism, and answering you makes me more so.

Be happy in your liberalism...it is a very small club there my friend.
Obviously there are two board categories of conservatives. There are fiscal conservatives. In this group are included folks like John McCain, Rudy Guiliani, George Pataki, Arnold, and others.
Then there are social conservatives. Included here are Pat Robertson, Ann Coulter, The AFA, Focus Family, and others.
Sometime members of one group and also be members of the others. And yet, on may be a member of one conservative faction and yet eschew the other (such as McCain).
Now, you made the motion that gays can not be conservative. I mentioned the Log Cabin Republicans. Are they really conservative? Let's look at what they have to say (from their website):
"We are loyal Republicans. We believe in low taxes, limited government, strong defense, free markets, personal responsibility, and individual liberty."
So from their own website it becomes apparent that the Log Cabin Republicans do indeed fit into the fiscal conservative category. Ergo, they are gay conservatives. Perhaps, Daniel, you should call them and let them know they are self-hating.

Regardless of how proud they may be, the Log Cabin Republicans are members of a party whose platform calls them an "abomination." That's self-hating no matter how you try to slice it.
Furthermore, the 2004 election cycle is the first time in the history of the LGRs that they refused to endorse their party's candidate for president. Even they're beginning to recognize that their sexual orientation and party identification don't match.

Thanks for your non-response to my post. And yes the Log Cabin Republicans did not endorse GWB because of the gay marriage amendment that he proposed. They objected to this enlargement of the federal govt (for one reason) thus once again showing themselves to be conservatives. But then again, according to you they are self-hating...go figure.
Let me repeat myslef for you Joe:
Regardless of how proud they may be, the Log Cabin Republicans are members of a party whose platform calls them an "abomination." That's self-hating no matter how you try to slice it.
They can be as fiscally conservative as they want (which doesn't really describe the Republican party these days anyway), but if they continue to claim membership in a party whose platform calls them an "abomination," that is most definately self-hating.

I think it is very funny that you feel the need to label them as self-hating. DO you know more about being gay than them? You already set-up a definition of conservatism that is laughable. But, yet let not facts get in the way of your rantings Danny boy.
